EHS held a BETA/National Honor Society Awards Banquet on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in the EHS Gym. Students were awarded certificates for earning a 3.0 for BETA Club and 3.5 for National Honor Society. We also had drawings for gift cards for students who were present! Seniors who earned the National Honor Society Hall of Fame (and were present at the banquet) were put in a drawing for a HP Notebook Laptop! Congratulations to Erica Vega and Jake Childress for winning the laptops this year! We are so proud of each of the students who earned these awards! Congratulations!!

Congratulations to EHS students Owen Edwards and Caleb Gay for becoming Certified Remote Pilots from the FAA. They earned this certification by demonstrating an understanding of regulations, operating requirements, and procedures for safely flying drones. We are so proud of these England High School EAST students for all their hard work in earning this certification to fly a drone under the FAA's Small UAS Rule.

East at England High School was one of 5 schools invited to STEM day at the Capitol. Today, they will be meeting with Legislature Roger Lynch and Senator Stephanie Flowers about the importance of East and how it has impacted the lives of our students and community. We are proud of all that our East program is accomplishing!

EHS will have an awards banquet for National Honor Society and BETA Club on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 5:30 in the EHS Gymnasium! Please join us in celebrating and honoring these students!!

England High School held its 9th Annual Crazy Carnival on April 19. Students enjoyed an escape room, football, water balloons, basketball, bubble bumper balls, and a dunking booth! It was a fun afternoon!!

EHS rocked the ATLAS!! We had great attendance this week. These students’ names were drawn for a special treat for attending all days of testing. Plus, all students with perfect attendance get a free hot dog at the Crazy Carnival tomorrow.

The Big ATLAS test is NEXT WEEK!! Students will take a test a day, and it is untimed! Remind students they can use all the time they need to do their best. For students who work hard, we have treats each day to choose from! Also, if you come to school all 4 days of testing, you’ll get a free hot dog at the Carnival!

EHS seniors had the opportunity to go tour PCCUA today and look at the college as well as see some of the paths available to them! We would like to thank the college and also Michelle Blasengame for setting this up!

Author Phyllis Hodges presented ESD with her latest book Girl Power. It is located in both campus libraries and offices. England is just one of several schools in Arkansas where her book is located.

Public Hearing The England School District will be presenting the 2024 Six Year Master Plan that will be submitted to the Division of Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation for public viewing on April 16, 2024.
