The England School District is pleased to announce the district will participate in Provision 2 during the 2026-2027 school year providing meals, regardless of eligibility, at NO CHARGE for all students at the following: England Elementary School and England High School participating in the School Breakfast Program or National School Lunch Program. This is made possible through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Special Assistance Certification and Reimbursement Provision 2 Alternative. All adults, e.g., visitors, teachers, support staff members, and administrators of the district must assume the full cost of the meal which is $4.00 for Breakfast and $5.00 for Lunch.
In the operation of child feeding programs, no child will be discriminated against because of race, sex, color, national origin, age, or disability.

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity, in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA (not all bases apply to all programs). On Tuesday, May 12 at 9:00am, a rescue helicopter will be at England Elementary School for the children to see and ask the pilot questions. Please do not be alarmed if you see the helicopter. It is just a part of our instructional program.

Attention K-2 Parents: Don't forget ATLAS Testing is happening at EES this week! Updated: The dates were incorrect on the original graphic posted, but they have been corrected. Grades K-2 at EES will take the ATLAS Test on Tuesday, May 5th and Wednesday May 6th.
Today we loved welcoming our future EHS students! 🎉
EES 6th graders had the opportunity to visit EHS, learn about classes, the bell schedule, and tour the school. It was such an exciting afternoon filled with curiosity, questions, and a glimpse into what their future holds! 🏫✨
A special thank you to our guest speaker, Harmony Spence from East at EHS for presenting with Mrs. Cassie Henderson and sharing valuable insight and helping make the day even more meaningful.

Students were given a copy of this letter, along with an access code that will allow you to access your student's ATLAS Spring Summative Test scores within 24 hours of the time your student completes the tests this week (with the exception of the Writing test, which may be delayed up to seven days).
If you have any issues accessing the ATLAS Testing Portal or if your student does not make it home with your access code, please contact Mrs. Kinsey via email at crystal.kinsey@englandlions.net.

Mrs. Martin’s Career Development classes had the opportunity to host two special visitors this week. Jenny Zerbe, a Crime Analyst with the Little Rock Police Department, spoke with students about her career, the role of data in solving crimes, and the different pathways into law enforcement support careers. Students also heard from England teacher and award-winning journalist Melissa Cason, who shared her experiences in journalism and the importance of communication, storytelling, and staying informed.
Both speakers provided valuable insight into their professions and encouraged students to explore their interests, set goals, and consider the many opportunities available to them.

England High School Students in grades 7-10 will test next week (April 21-24).
England Elementary Students in grades 3-6 will test the week of April 28-May 1.

It is very important to make sure students arrive at school on time on their scheduled testing days. Please note that any student who arrives later than 8:20 am on a scheduled testing day will have to wait at the office until testing is complete for that day and take the test during the afternoon.
