EES Parents/Caregivers: This chocolate fundraiser permission form was sent home last week with every student. Permission forms will be sent home again today with any student who has not requested to sell yet. If you want your child to participate, please make sure you fill it out and send it with your student so they can get their box of chocolate.

Also, please remember to put your student's name on EVERYTHING! Every year we have some forms and/or money turned in with no names written on them. This makes it very difficult for our chocolate team to keep accurate records and clear accounts. Thank you and happy selling!

Student Sidney MacAlla, co-founder of EAST of Music, working with Mayor Stephanie White have taken big steps toward building EAST of Music as a nonprofit. EAST of Music is a free afterschool program for youth ages 8-18 (not restricted to England Students) to learn guitar and bass on Wednesday nights from 5-6 PM. They worked together to write the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, filed for 501(c)(3) status through the Arkansas Secretary of State, and reached out to potential board members to help guide the program’s future. For More information, please reach out to eastofmusicehs@gmail.com or call or text (501) 725-2824.

Five students in each grade level were selected (based on their artwork) to continue on to the state art contest. Congratulations to these 30 students!! Students can win up to $50. Today our 9th & 10th graders learned about the opportunities available at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts (ASMSA)! Thank you to Ms. Lisa Collins for coming to EHS! Students heard about the unique residential experience, advanced coursework, and how ASMSA can prepare them for college and future careers. 🌟📚 We’re proud of our students exploring new pathways and opportunities for their future!

Mrs. Lee’s 7th & 8th grade students reviewed for their Topic 1 test with a fun number line relay! 🏃‍♂️➕📏 In this activity, the classes raced to correctly place a variety of real and rational numbers on a number line within time limits of 5, 3, and 1 minutes. Students worked together, practiced quick thinking, and built confidence in their math skills—all while having a great time! 🎉✏️

England School District is proud to announce that England High School has improved to a School Letter Grade of "C," and England Elementary School has maintained a School Letter Grade of "C" for the 2024-25 school year!

From a Commissioner's Memo published by the Arkansas Department of Elementary and Secondary Education:

"Arkansas’s accountability formula was redesigned in 2025 to provide a clearer and more meaningful picture of Arkansas schools and student learning. For elementary and middle schools, the formula focuses on student achievement and year-to-year growth, and prioritizes the students who are furthest behind with an additional growth measure. For high schools, the formula includes an additional measure focused on whether students are “success ready” graduates prepared to enlist, enroll, or be employed."

Thank you to all of our students, teachers, administrators, and support staff for the hard work that goes on daily at both EHS and EES! Thank you to our school board and stakeholders for all you do to support ESD! We appreciate you all!
